Rice Production Training provides learners with practical, farm-based knowledge in modern crop production techniques that can be directly applied to increase yield and farm profitability.
The program focuses on sustainable and climate-smart rice farming practices, combining field demonstrations with basic farm management and decision-making skills.
What Participants Will Learn
– Land preparation and soil health assessment, including basic soil testing
– Improved seed selection, planting depth, spacing, and planting timing
– Soil fertility management using organic manure, compost, and fertilizers
– Weed, pest, and disease control using Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
– Safe handling and application of agrochemicals
– Water and moisture management, including irrigation and drainage
– Crop monitoring, record keeping, and farm documentation
– Harvesting, post-harvest handling, storage, and loss reduction
– Basic farm business skills for cost control and productivity improvement
